Finally, the last entry for this blog segment! I am extremely glad to announce that I already finished the last setting (guidance & counseling) of my internship at La Consolacion College Manila (and we successfully defended our thesis)! Such a happy cookie myself is! Though partly, I am sad because I’ll definitely miss their campus that has a lot of retreat vibes on it and of course, our practicum supervisior, Ms. Ces who’s such a quirky and intelligent woman; also, the woman who expressed her belief in my potential since the very first day and the one pushed me to my limits just to help me improve. Man, do I love her cognitive behavior therapy approach!
Ahh and of course, one thing’s for sure, I’ll miss eating lunch at one of their kubos.
Last few push and here we come graduation! :)
Thesis, stories and the pressure of the fast approaching defense, coffee and latte, supportive friends, hacked fb accounts, dessert and laughs on a holiday.

Just before the hullabaloos reach Binondo Chinatown, Twinny and I opted to go there a week before the Chinese New Year. The original plan was to do a “150 Peso Binondo Foodtrip”, but unfortunately (well not really unfortunate), we were summoned by the beauty of it that we forgot to fill our stomachs (we’re not really hungry though cos we’ve been to a late lunch date with our blockmates). So the foodtrip turned to a photowalk.
After exploring China in the PH, we decided to go to the Estero restaurant. Too bad we don’t really like the vibes that time. We tried other restos that offer turtle soup and the like but Twinny’s still not ready to try such foodies. So we ended up with fried siopao and fried dumplings; both have an incredible taste. I also bought some California makis for my brother for only 50 bucks!
Binondo is such an amazing place. From the restos, Chinese paraphernalias and the whole eccentricity of it, no wonder it is the haven for food lovers and shutterbugs around the metro.
Twinny and I will surely go back in this piece of China with empty stomachs and full pockets (for more chances of eating! hah).
Anyway, Kung Hei Fat Choi you guys! :-)
Spur of the moment decisions that led to a sumptuous lunch meal.
January 17, 2014
Stories and practicum report over cups of cold latte and a very sumptuous dessert. Indeed last January 7, we had a taste of Korea.
(I’m back. Maybe I really am just having another hormonal imbalance last night due to my uterus (eww yes) but hey after posting last night’s sentiments I really felt okay, so yes, back to blogging!)
One by one, things in our Before Eternal Summer bucketlist are being crossed out and we couldn’t get any happier. Just recently, Twinny brought me to Santorini to serve as a treat after I revamped her blog (but I ended up treating her back a lovely dessert at yet another Korean café; which I will put in a separate post).
Santorini is a Korean restaurant standing along the Tigers’ den in P. Noval. Being famous to students (especially K-POP fans students) and having only six available tables, we are lucky that the odds are in our favor because when we got there, there’s only one vacant place. Upon entering the door, you will already feel the K-POP vibes. (Note: I am no K-POP fan and will never be. But Twinny is so yep. (Don’t worry Twinny, that didn’t made me love you any less. :P) The only reason why I agreed to add this in our bucketlist is because of Korean’s spoon! I’m in love with it. Hah.) K-POP idols’ posters are posted on the walls, K-POP fans’ notes expressing their wholehearted love for their biases, (that one, I learned from Twinny. Haha!) and the television mounted on top plays K-POP music videos and shows. I swear, hindi ko kinaya when Infinite performed and Twinny went fangirling. Good thing she didn’t brought her Infinite fan out! (Yes, she has that. She got it when she went to their concert) Or else, I’ll walk out. Just kidding! ;) Well indeed, the place is really a haven for K-POP bugs.
It was my first time trying a Korean food. Twinny and I ordered a Bulgogi for the price of P160.00 (Correct me if I’m wrong Twinny!) and it doesn’t taste bad. The taste has a resemblance to Moshi-Moshi’s Gyudon. I’m definitely looking forward for another Korean food experience. I want to try Bibimbap, Kimchi and Ramen!
For Korean lovers out there, check this resto out and you won’t regret a single thing!

Icicles in her eyes,
A sunrise in her smile,
And roses in her lips.
Thunder in her voice,
Snowflakes in her skin,
And a hailstorm in her step.
A touch like summer rain,
A spirit like the sky,
And the ferocity of the wind.
She is like a hurricane,
And when I see her standing there,
I am blinded by her majesty,
She has sunshine in her hair.
