"Oh, the comfort — the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person — having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.”

The original plan was to enjoy the beach and the resort until 6pm then Tagaytay afterwards but because there’s nothing much to do (gah, why adults are so hard to entertain? why is that that they’re not contented in simple activities anymore? they crave for adventures #20sprobs) aside from picture taking, we left the resort early.

image

To Tagaytay we went!!!

image

We headed for a different route — some place that we’re not familiar of and we were mesmerized by the beauty of every view!

image

Tito Nelson made us put the window down for us to enjoy the Tagaytay breeze.

image

Because of the “bulalord” game and of course, the man where it all began, we jokingly said that we will go have some bulalo when we’re there but unfortunately or fortunately I don’t know; it remained as a joke. Hah!

image

And because Hesi’s dad will be meeting her mom, we decided to chill at Starbucks.

image

Ah yes, and in here Twinny made a magic. Don’t want to explain further what that magic is. Hahaha!

image

image

Chitchats and whatnots over frappuccinos and tea.

image

image

Went to the spot where we can see the Taal view. Seriously, what are those little stuffs there? We’re so curious!

image

image

Ahh yes of course, selfies!!!!

image

image

And here they are being an avid meteor garden fans. Haha!

Left the place at sunset.

Moments like this are the ones I will miss with my girlfriends. Back to reality now, yet another job hunting days.

Today marks the first year of me being single and boy did the days went by fast. I was like… "Really? It’s been a year?"

Being single for a year now, I want to share with you my learnings and of course, the things that I grown to love about the season I’m into.

  • YOU DO NEED SOMEONE AND THAT SOMEONE IS JESUS. "Why don’t you find someone? Or perhaps, give those who show interest in you a chance?" I was often bombarded with those questions when I became single and I am thankful that God brought me enlightenment right away that I realized that I do not need anyone but Him. In Him you will find comfort healing and not in a new lover’s arms. With Him you can and will be anew and He will supply you with endearing and unconditional love that no admirer of you can offer.
  • BEING ALONE IS NOT SYNONYMOUS WITH BEING LONELY. Having no partner made me realize that it is okay and enjoying being alone. Spending some me-time from time to time helped me to see foggy stuffs clearly and positively. Indulging in positive solitude makes me realize a lot of things. Conquering circumstances and making decisions are the two things that I am afraid to do then but now doing it just like eating a piece of cake. Being independent was scary until I got the opportunity to be one.
  • TIME TO REDISCOVER AND GET CLOSE YOUR FAMILY. When I’m in a relationship, most of my times are spent with someone but when I became single, I found the chance to rediscover each and every one of them. We all have lives out of the four corners of our home so it’s nice that now I have every time in the world to listen to their stories and experiences. Not that we do not do that then, but we grew much closer now. Dates from time to time, ice cream sessions and movie marathons — just few of the things we love doing.
  •  HANGING WITH FRIENDS WHENEVER. Hanging out with the best friend or with my whole girlfriends became often now unlike then. I am so glad that whenever we plan something, I don’t have to consult anyone (well, except my parents but they agree most often than not) whenever I’ll go somewhere. This basically helped me in healing and in my reincarnation. (becoming a new person, that is) During this season I learned how to appreciate my friends and I am ecstatic whenever the thought of how close we’ve been to each other comes in my mind.
  • THE SOCIETY’S UNDERSTANDING OF LOVE IS TOO SHALLOW. Well, based on my observation, people nowadays dig in to a relationship just because they are sad, because they want someone to be with them every time and anywhere, because they want someone to hug and kiss them. They tend to display their affections publicly and on facebook. Because of pouring my attention to Him and because of the influence of my sisters in Christ, I have the chance to understand the four words in the deeper and mature level.
  •  FREE FROM DEFINITIONS AND OPINIONS OF ANOTHER. I can do everything without being judged. I can wear what I want, I can go everywhere. Embracing ‘me’ is the main thing in my mantra this season.
  • DISCOVERING YOUR PURPOSE. During this season, you can hear clearly what God is saying to you. As for me, I am still seeking the Lord so that I can see the evident mission He wants me to do.
  • SPENDING MORE TIME WITH THE LORD. Ah yes. No distractions at all. I can write in my journal and reflect. I can tell stories, hatred, disappointments to Him. Everything’s laid out to Him.
  •  GROWING. I may not be growing in height, but I sure am growing in terms of my whole being and of course, spiritually.
  • GOD FIRST BEFORE SOMEONE. This is the major learning that I acquired in the season I’m into. To sum it up, here’s a quote I found in facebook: “The tragedy in our generation today, is that ladies would rather have a man of God than God himself; don’t be so eager to find your man of God, when you have yet to find yourself in God who made all man.”

As for now, God placed me in this season for me to have more experiences and discoveries that only I can discover. While it is in human’s nature to feel the need of being with someone, I believe that right now is not the perfect time. I suppose God is preparing me to that moment so that when it finally comes, I will be whole together with the man He destined me to be with and of course with Himself.

And in case you are in this season too, beloved, don’t dread this moment but instead hold it in your arms; cuddle it, feel it and most importantly indulge it.

“Each of you should continue to live in whatever situation the Lord has placed you and remain as you were when God first called you.” -1 Corinthians 7:17

One of the most amazeballs and awesomesauce weekend I had so far. Dinner (Friday) and breakfast at Montalban, Lunch at Batangas and Dinner at Tagaytay. (will put it in another post!) Indeed an ultimate roadtrip!!

I introduce to you, our Lemery, Batangas’ photo diary!

image

Managed to score discounted vouchers at La Sueña Brisa Beach Resort through Metrodeal so to Lemery, Batangas we went! :-)

image

Red hair when there’s sunlight. Haha!

Man, the search for the resort is the hardest part. Since we didn’t know how to go to the place, we relied on google map and by asking questions. Good thing, Tito Nelson (Hesi’s dad) is with us!

After getting lost, we finally reached the resort!

image

image

Girlfriends! Too bad others wasn’t able to go with us. Huhu. Next time, next time.

image

OOTD: Plain White Tee, Thrifted Maxi Skirt, Solemate Sandals, Cotton On Tote Bag.

There were boatmen that offers good deals for boating if you want to go island hopping, snorkeling and fish feeding (All three for PHP1,500 minimum of 10  persons) or even just swimming in the middle of the sea (for PHP40.00)!

As for us, because we’re cheapskates we dig in to the swimming in the middle of the sea offer! ;-)

image

And because we’re only 5, they searched for other tourists who wants to join and luckily they found some!

image

image

#feelingexcited! ;)

image

image

It took us a huge amount of guts and courage to go down and swim! How deep that part of the ocean is, I don’t know but boy did we got scared for our lives at first! Hahaha.

image

The amount of clingy-ness that moment was overflowing. Hahaha! Look how we cling to stairs, outrigger and to each other!

image

I swear we got tired of laughing than swimming! =))

image

Eventually, swam all by ourselves!

Eccentric, quaint, lovely, enchanting, intimate atmosphere, impressive, your source of gastronomical delights, solace and any adjective that is synonymous to attractive.

Rustic Mornings by Isabelo is the breakfast “alter ego” of the popular dinner by reservation, Isabelo Garden Restaurant. Foodies can enjoy breakfast in the morning until 4 in the afternoon where they allow walk-in breakfast aficionados who wants to feed not only their stomach but also their eyes.

Twinny got knowledge of this haven years ago when she saw it featured in a magazine. She then eventually fell in love and told me about it. So in our before eternal summer bucketlist it went. Just this 3rd of April, we took the moment to indulge in their mouth watering breakfast meals and of course, in their beautiful place.

We got there hours after lunch so we just ordered a not totally light meal. I opted to order their crispy waffle with homemade pancake syrup (PHP150.00) plus I added mango cubes (PHP15.00) as toppings paired with tropical teaser (PHP140.00) drink while Twinny got bacon, egg and herbed hashbrowns (PHP170.00) and for refreshment, pearl of the orient (PHP130.00).

You can choose a place where you’ll be comfortable. Either inside the air-conditioned dining area or in the garden where you’ll feel all the shabby vibes of it all. Don’t worry, the garden area is well ventilated with electric fans per table. As to their staffs, well we found them accommodating. I just sorta felt annoyed during the times where the waiter will just stand a few feet away from your table and will stare at you so that they can cater to your needs immediately. But, I felt that where-is-my-privacy-feeling. It’s not for the whole time though.

All in all, our journey to this magical haven was worth it. Indeed, it is a place where you want to come back even just after your last dine. Also, it is a place where you want someone to propose to you or perhaps, marry you! Hah. ;)

Just before the graduation jitters came upon us, we spent our last days as a student fulfilling the remaining things in our bucketlist!

Right after my interview, I hurriedly found my way out to Makati and endured the sardines-like MRT to meet my girlfriends. Yes, we did this gayuma experience with them instead of just twinny and I. :-)

Had the knowledge of this unique and quirky resto from my co-bloggers and because of curiosity and amazement, Twinny and I included it in our before eternal summer bucketlist.

Gayuma ni Maria (in English, Maria’s Love Potion), is a playful restaurant along V. Luna Extension (Maginhawa St.) Sikatuna Village, Quezon City Diliman. The interior of the restaurant is themed from the name itself, potions and spells. Aside from foods, they also sell things that are rated SPG! Some are interesting, some things I don’t want to get into detail. Haha.

But what makes this restaurant a full package of special is their menu! They have this very witty names for their meals. Namely,He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, Kala ni Mare, Please be Careful with My Heart, Unrequited Love and others.

My girlfriends and I were able to try Kiss Sabay Hug, Unrequited Love and No Boyfriend Since Birth. We are no food bloggers but we think the food is nice. Though some menu needs some improvement because it’s too salty. Were not able to try their desserts but we will the next time we come back.

Resume splurge, interviews and examinations, back and forth to the selfie city, getting lost and eventually finding the right way; independent self, you are very much appreciated; corporate attires, stomach churning elevators, ayala triangle, comfort brought by the company of myself, solace, meditation; took the cab alone, talked to strangers, gained a new friend, observing, hearing how many employees are experiencing burnouts, ahh their never ending laments during lunch break, the heat and the air, supportive friends and parents, adult docus and papers, prayers and lots of it.

Went away to the group of alcoholics to hear the call of our grumbling stomachs (yes, even though this was just after our tribute party), impulsive choice of restaurant at 10:30 in the evening just because we were persuaded by their stove at the tables only to know that we can’t use it anymore because they will close at 11, out of curiosity the group bought a bottle of Soju just to leave it untouched, talks and more talks and oh pictures over a humongous bowl of Bibimbap. Ah yes, free yakults.

One of God given moments that we actually gather together and catch up on each other’s lives. The originals as what I call this group. Been separated into different circles because of reasons that are then immature but eventually little by little sewing everything back just like before. Indeed a one fine night Tomas Morato reunion.
